AI usage policy

AI Code of Ethics

When you hire someone to build your website, you deserve to know how much of it they did themselves, and how much came from AI.

AI Will Never…

  • Design your site.

    No auto-generated layouts or templates.

  • Write your story.

No generic AI text generated for your main copy.

  • See your private data.

Customer info, passwords, and client data stay completely off-limits.

  • Touch security or payments.

Logins, payment processing, and backend credentials are always handled manually.

  • Replace human judgment.

Strategy, structure, and messaging are guided by experience.

  • Put your project on autopilot.

You get direct human oversight on every detail, from initial built out to ongoing care.

Where AI is Helpful

AI is my coworker I bounce ideas off. When I’m staring at a blank page or chasing a stubborn bug, it helps me get moving again.

  • Speeding up troubleshooting & debugging

    "Why won't this do X?"

"What is this error code telling me?"

  • Repetitive data tasks

"Rename these files to match my naming convention"

    "translate this CSV to JSON"

  • Reference and lookup

"Find all the places it talks about X in this documentation"

"What options are there to achieve X?"

  • Script generation for simple tasks

“Export all my Google reviews into a spreadsheet”

"Cap media upload sizes and formats"

  • Refining copy

    "Make this paragraph tighter"

    "Is this explanation clear?"

"What's another way to say X"

  • Drafting complex UI components

"Build me a rough draft of an animated calendar"

"Help me build a tool tip component"

AI-free projects

Prefer 100% human-made?

While AI speeds up parts of my work, I completely respect clients who prefer an AI-free workflow. Just let me know!
